Allen Co was not formed until 1815, so I would suggest looking in Barren or Warren Co KY, or Smith or Sumner Co Tn prior to 1815. Between 1796-1820 the state boundary of KY/TN was in dispute and some years a family might show in KY and some years in TN, but have never moved.
