Researching my great grandmother, Frances Francioca Kwiatkowski, born 20 Apr 1855 in Poznan, Poland and died 12 Jan 1931 in Lincoln, IL. Below is everythiing I know about her: In 1920 census, she was listed as living with her son Victor and his wife Anna in 1920 at 926 Broadway, Licoln, IL. She and both her parents were listed as being born in Poland. Below is her obituary from the Lincoln newspaper: MRS. F. POKORSKI CLAIMED BY DEATH Mrs. Frances Pokorski, widow of the late Joseph Pokorski, passed away at 2:30 o'clock Monday morning at the home at 1008 North Logan street. Mrs. Pokorski was born in Poland April 20, 1855 and died at the age of 75 years, 8 months and 23 days. Her husband passed away 25 years ago. The following nine children survive: Mrs. Mary Luby, Jack, Frank, Victor and Henry Pokorski of Lincoln; Mrs. Stella Jurick, Moweaqua; Mrs. Cecelia Moore, Los Angelas, Cal.; Mrs. Rose Nau and Mrs. Elizabeth Mooney of Peoria. She also leaves 32 grandchildren and one great grandchild. The funeral will take place at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning from St. Patrick's church with Rev. J.T. Mulgrew in charge. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery. Note: This cemetery is now known as St. Patrick's Cemetery. Her death certificate said she died of cancer of the liver. It also said she came to the US in 1881 and to the city of Lincoln in 1891. Apparently, they lived in Michigan from 1881 to 1885 and then Minonk, IL until 1891, moving to Lincoln in 1891. Lived next door to daughter Mary in Lincoln around 1930. She lived in Lincoln, IL for 40 years, and in the US for 50 years. Notify Administrator about this message?
