I may be a (distant) Kwader relative. My grandfather's mother's maiden name was Kwader. As I understand it, my greatgrandparents independently immigrated from Lithuania and met and married in Carbondale, PA. My grandfather was born in 1912 and was the fourth of six children, so I'm guessing the marriage would have taken place in the first few years of the last century. I grew up believing that my greatgrandparents' last name was spelled Roulinaitis; however, I see on some of these forums that Raulinaitis seems to be a more common spelling of the name (my grandfather and his brother both changed their last name to Roland when they were adults, thus the uncertainty).
I know nothing about my Kwader greatgrandmother other than the above. In fact I even need to ask my mother to remind me of her first name (Mary, perhaps). Given that your grandfather served in WWII (as did mine), perhaps your grandfather was my ggmother's nephew - my grandfather's cousin?
