Hello Damjan,

I do not know the origin of your name; however, I am quite curious about your background. My mother's name was Kuzmijak. She was born in Pennsylvania (U.S) in 1906 but very early in life returned to live in Slovenia--I believe in your city. She returned to this country when she was about 16 years old to live in Wisconsin (U.S.) and eventually settled in Joliet, Illinois (U.S.). Her mother died when she was a young child, and I know nothing about her father. I guess I am writing this because I would like to know more about her background. As an aside, she was married to my father, John Potochnic, who, as you might know, is also Slovenia. My mother died in 1973 and my father passed away about seven years ago. I would appreciate any information you may have. If not, I am wishing you a very happy new year filled with hope, peace, and prosperity.
