Louis Frederick Kurz was a german artist who died in germany, leaving a young widow and three children: A daughter who died in her twenties of tuberculosis, Karl Erich Kurz, and Louis Frederick Kurz, Jr. After Mr. Kurz died, they emmigrated to the United States, leaving behind relatives in the Nurnberg area.

Louis, Jr. became a prominent attorney in Jacksonville, Fl. He was married to Nena Lucille Geoffries from Cairo, GA., and they had three children: A daughter who died in infancy, Louis Frederick Kurz, III, and my mother, Margaret Jeanette Kurz (Jean). They divorced and he married Mildred (Millie) in the 40's. Together, they lived in Ponte Vedra Beach until he died in the early 60's.

Louis Frederick Kurz, III, died in an automobile accident when he was about 36. He practiced law with his father in Jacksonville. He and his first wife, Essie Guthrie, had two children, Louis Frederick Kurz, IV (Fritz) and Melissa.

After Mrs. Kurz emmigrated to the United States, she married Mr. Englehardt and they later moved to Jacksonville, FL. where he owned a dry cleaning establishment.
