I have had in my library for years, a Time Life book that has a photo of a civil war soldier, George Kurtz,5th Virginia Infantry. The spooky thing is he looks like me and my mothers maiden name was kurtz. I am new at this and I am trying to find his lineage. My oldest Kurtz ancestor is Abraham of Rotterdam imigration date 1740 Berks county pa. Then Christian,one of two sons of lancaster county. My grand father was Charles weidman kurtz 1880 of Fivepointville PA lancaster county. Any info that can point me in the right direction will be appreciated, and I can reciprocate any info that I might have that someone may need.
