Looking for information on Henry Kurth b. abt March 12, 1837
emmigrated to US from Prussia/Germany Hessen Kessel around 1853/54
(Henry would have been around 16 yrs old).
Married Barbara Lutz abt 1860 . area unknown. 1st daughter
Anna Elizabeth born March 28, 1864 in Ill. By 1870 Henry & Barbara
are living in Iowa County, Iowa near Ladora. Henry & Barbara
had 14 Children:

Emma L. KURTH b. April 22, 1871 m. Franklin G. Baldwin
Nancy Matilda KURTH b. December 16, 1873 m. Amos Potter,
then m. Frank McCammant
William Henry KURTH b. May 22, 1874 m. Friedora (Frieda) Siems
Margaret KURTH b. August 21, 1876 m. Sidney LaGrange
John Frederick KURTH b. February 13, 1878 m. Eva H. Brewer
Maymie KURTH b. August 12, 1879 m. Franklin G. Baldwin

(then m. unkown O'brien)

(daughter of David R. Edwards & Jenny McDonald)
Samuel is my gr grandfather and moved his family to Marshalltown, IA.
From postings I have read there seems to have been a large amount
of Kurth/Kurtz/Korth/KURT families that emmigrated in the 1853/54 yrs .
John Kurth that married Ella Mae Kurth came to Iowa from PA along
with his brother Henry Ross Kurth and lived near my Henry Kurth
near Ladora.
John's parents Adam & Elizabeth (Race) KORTH/Kurth are living in
Montgomery Co. PA in 1860. Also in that household is an
Elizabeth Korth which appears to be Adam's mother.
Adam also came to US in about 1853/54 from Germany.
Trying to find my Henry Kurth in 1860 census and ship he rode in on.
Would also like to find marriage date for him & Barbara/Barbary Lutz.
Barbara emmigrated abt 1846 at around 4 yrs of age from Baden, Germany.
Believe her family may have been in PA also.
I also believe Henry may have been in Civil War as he states he
was married in 1860, but no children were born till 1864.
Any inquiries/info welcome. If I have wrong info , please let me know.
