Adam KUNTZ, Sr. father of Mary Magdelen KOONTZ (Weidler)
I am looking for information about Koontzs/Kuntzs and Beilers/Beylers who may have settled in Marshall County, IN.
Elizabeth Wielder (Beyler/Beiler) was the dau. of Valentine Wiedler and Mary Magdelen Koontz.Mary Magdelen Koontz was the dau. of Adam Kuntz, Sr.
Adam Beyler (b. Apr. 15, 1819; d. Nov. 18, 1881) married Elizabeth Glasman (b. Nov. 1, 1825; d. Nov. 13, 1905).
Elizabeth Glasman Beyler married a Michael Smith much later in life after being widowed, but was buried under the Beyler headstone in the Bremen Cemetery in Marshall County, IN beside Adam Beyler.
The 1880 census lists an Adam BEILER in Marshall Co., IN with wife Elizabeth and three children:Valentine, Eliza, and Celinda.Adam and Elizabeth Beiler both report being born in France.Adam & Elizabeth Beiler also reported that their parents were born in France.
There is a possible family connection to the Alsace region of France, which would explain German names with a French origin. We are not able to make the connection yet.
Valentine Beyler/Beiler (b. Jan. 10, 1860; d. March19, 1939) married Elizabeth A Wiedler (b. Mar. 18, 1864; d. Jan. 1922).They had at least four children:Fred Beyler, Clara Rosa Celinda Beyler Nettrouer, Emma Beyler Gates Windfall, Walter Dayton Beyler.
Elizabeth Wielder (Beyler/Beiler) was the dau. of Valentine Wiedler and Mary Magdelen Koontz.Mary Magdelen Koontz was the dau. of Adam Kuntz, Sr.
Clara Rosa Celinda Beyler (b. Aug. 8, 1887 in Wakarusa, IN; d. Aug. 23, 1957 in South Bend, IN) married Andrew Nettrouer (b. Jul. 14, 1887 in Wakarusa, IN or Starke Co., OH; d. Feb. 22, 1938 in Plymouth, IN) on Jan. 2, 1908.
I would like to find out the locations of origin for Adam Beyler/Beiler and Elizabeth Glasman Beyler/Beiler and when they immigrated to the U.S.I would also appreciate any information siblings, ancesors, etc. on the Beilers/Beylers, Glasmans, Wielders, Koontz/Kuntzs, or Nettrouers!
Thanks so much for your help!
