The following comes from a wonderful book titled "Descendants of Leonard Wolf Sr. and Catherine Cripe" by Ardelta Delores Wolfe Baker:
Hannah Wolf Kuns (daughter of Leonard Wolf Sr and Catherine Cripe)
Hannah was born in 1791, in Huntingdon County, PA, and married John Kuns, son of George and Elizabeth Cripe Kuns, on 13 Feb 1816, in Montgomery County, OH. John was born in Huntingdon County, PA, on 13 April 1794. John and Hannah moved to Carroll County, IN, in 1825, where he built the first flouring-mill near Delphi, and also had a tannery on their farm. He was known as an energetic man and a shrewd trader. The Dunker Church was organized here in 1827, by Peter Eyman, and having no meeting-house, Peter often preached in the home of John Kuns, Samuel Wise and others. Hannah died in Clinton Co., on 1 Nov. 1858, with burial in the Wise Cemetery, near Camden, IN. John then married Catharine Blickenstaff Shively, widow of Christian Shively, on 12 May 1861. Catharine died in Piatt Co, IL on 22 Sept 1875 and John died in Macon Co, IL on 19 Oct 1865. The children of Hannah and John are: Catherine, Elizabeth, Daniel, David, Henry, Lewis, Barbara and Hannah.
David Kuns
David was born 23 Mar 1820, Montgomery Co, OH and moved with his parents to Carroll Co, IN in 1826. This is where he married Margaret Lamb 6 Feb 1845. She was born 15 May 1829, in OH and is said to be of English and Scotch descent. In 1854, this family emigrated to Macon Co., IL and in 1856, settled in Piatt Co, on a 460 acre farm. It was one of the best improved farms in the area. He planted about 400 fruit trees, numerous evergreens, ash, walnut, and chestnuts, as well as having improved many acres for other farming. He and Margaret had been married over 60 years when she died 10 Oct 1905, at their home in Lordsburg, CA. David died at the home of their son, Henry, 12 Feb 1906. David and Margaret are interred in the Pomona Cemetery, Pomona, CA.
Henry L. Kuns
Henry was born about 1846 in Carroll Co, IN and married Mary Ella Pierce. They lived at Lordsburg, CA at the time of his father, David's death, in 1906. They located at Gilroy, Santa Clara county, CA, in 1877.
