Amy -
My wife's great-grandfather was Benjamin Franklin Kunkleman (born October 6, 1859, in Lancaster, PA; died March 27, 1950), who married Mary Bell Miller (daughter of Samuel B. Miller and wife, Eliza Smart Miller; born January 3, 1872, in Allen County, Ohio; died March 6/8, 1922). They lived in Columbus Grove, Ohio, and later in Hunter, Missouri, but had connections to Lima, Ohio. According to Mary Bell's obituary, her parents were from Lima, Ohio. According to Benjamin Franklin Kunkleman's obituary, he was survived by two sisters, Mellie Mort and Edith Kunkleman, both of Lima, Ohio. Benjamin Franklin Kunkleman died at the home of his son, Zeno W. Kunkleman, who resided at 1831 Garfield Street (maybe in Lima.)
Benjamin Franklin Kunkleman and Mary Bell Miller Kunkleman had twelve children, but none of them were named "Howard" that I know of. Two of their granddaughters (the children of their son, Lawrence M. Kunkleman and wife, Mary J. Lentz Kunkleman) were born in Lima, Ohio, and one of them married a man named Howard Higby. Don't know if any of this will help you, but I do have a history of the Miller Family (Mary Bell's line, which includes the descendants of Benjamin Franklin Kunkleman and wife).
