Dear Ms. Dendy,
I came across you request for info on a Haddie Kunkel. While I do not have info on her directly, I do have a Kunkel in my family tree. Mine is a Samuel G. Kunkel, b 7 OCT 1834. I don't have a place of birth in my records that I have here, but I do know that he died 25 DEC 1899 at the Harrisburg, PA (State Insane Asylum). His Father was Kunkel and his Mother was Elizabeth Spangler. He married Ruthanna Garretson b. 28 JAN 1833 and d. 5 DEC 1908. They had 7 children: Elizabeth (Lizzie) my GGrandmother, Washington, Romanis (Romanus), Monroe, Albert, Emma, and Ruth Ella.
Samuel G Kunkel was burried in Dover, PA in Strayer's Cemetery at Salem Union Church. Several generations of my family came from York county and I assume that Samuel's parents were from there as well. It is possible that Samuel G. had other siblings, possible one was your Haddie.
Sorry I can't be more specific. I made a trip several years ago to York and visited a library which had a lot of genealogy information in it. I don't remember just which library it was. My wife thinks it was the York County Library.
