Thank you for responding William. Since my post I have found some things. One of the things is that I had Frederick & Julia Ann's granddaughter's name wrong. I wan looking for another Julia Ann but her name was Juliana, Henry & Elizabeth (Furr) Kump's oldest daughter. Any additional information anyone has on any of these people would be very much appreciated. ------------------------------------------------ John Heckert Kniseley married Elizabeth S. Foreman, daughter of: Henry & Juliana (Kump) Foreman. Juliana was the daughter of: Henry & Elizabeth (Furr) Kump. Henry was the son of: Frederick & Julia Ann (?) Kump Frederick Kump, son of Henry and Julia Ann (?) Kump II, was born Aug. 26, 1798, probably in Hampshire County, and died Feb. 12, 1878, at North River Mills, WV. He first married Elizabeth Furr, who was born circa 1803 and died Feb. 20, 1834. They were married on June 19, 1823. Kump Cemetery, North River Mills, WV. http://www.historichampshire.org/cems/kump1.htm Frederick Kump: died Feb 12, 1878; "Aged 79 yrs 3 mos - 16 dys". Frederick married second to Dorinda Poston, in 1835. She was born circa 1807 and died April 29, 1836. After her death, Frederick married thirdly to Julia Ann Ears, daughter of John and Mary Ears of Shenandoah County, Virginia. She was born in 1810 and died June 26, 1890, and was buried June 29, 1890, according to John Mellon’s Undertaker Book. The Frederick Kump family Bible states that she died on Aug. 8, 1890, but the notation was recorded much later by a different hand. Frederick was a blacksmith. Between 1847-1849, he set up a shop along the Springfield Grade at North River Mills, across the road from John Burkett Miller’s tavern. In 1849 and 1860, he bought respectively a 45-acre tract and an 8-acre tract from the heirs of Basil Moreland. The blacksmith shop has been torn down. A graveyard is located in the bushes on a sloping hill below the house, just beyond the side yard. Kump’s daughter, Harriett, lived in the loghouse until her death in 1932. In December 1986, Paul and Pat Gilson purchased part of the Kump former property, that included a log house, which is a two-story structure with a 14’x18’ log kitchen annexed perpendicularly to the main house. Stones in the chimney appear to have ferric content. The Gilsons restored the house with the intention of securing approval for listing it as a State historic site.
