Hi Virginia--it was great to get your message. My gr grandfather was John Peter Kuhnley-Lousetta's brother. I have copies of obituaries for Orin C. and, Mrs. J. P. Kuhnley (Carrie) and Orin's wife's. Carrie died 1-18-1960 and notes she was the widow of the Rev. J.P. Kuhnley and Advent Christian Church minister. Orin died 2-13-1970, it lists a daughter Karla Laursen, Oregon and then several step children as survivors. Orin's wife died 8-27-59 her name was Verona--so he must have remarried. I would be happy to send you copies of the obits if you would like. I have hit a wall in trying to get more information on my grandmother Venice. My 4th cousin Betty Rudolph, who provided me with all the info that I have, had written that Lousetta Kuhnley Marvins' children lived in Montana. I was living in Helena at the time and am now in Farmington new Mexico. She listed the children as Etta Marie Thompson, Maurice, Lawrence, Pauline and Charles. I am trying to find someone who had some connection with my grandmother Venice. She died at 75 on 1-28-1979. I only discovered these decendents 4-5 years ago when I had my (deseased) father's birth records unsealed from Washington state. My father was killed in a car accident in 1967 and never knew his biological mother or even any names. He was born on December 18, 1922 and was named Raymond by Venice, who was unmarried. He was then adopted by a prominant family from Spokane (Ross) After she put my father up for adoption-she married a Sandifur and had a son 2 years after my father was born. He was Robert I. Sandifur. He was also killed in a car accident, but I was able to speak with his widow. She was very responsive and was going to mail me pictures of my grandmother, but I never heard back from her. I also have handwritten letter from Venice and Orin sister Lottie and one from a Flora Kuhnley Nordberg-b.1893 d.1938. Again, anything I have I will be happy to share--I am very new to this genealogy stuff!
