Kuhlmann of the Lower Eastside in New York City(Cherry Street) This family come here circa possibly around 1850s.Family later had a name change to Coleman. Members consisted of Maria(Eggers?) Minnie, Charlie,Willie,Henny?Louis and George. They worked on the docks on the lower east side. Also looking for a Henrietta Johnson or a Tessie Duffy who may be related to Kuhlmann. They were said to have been of the Luthern faith but some of them may have been Catholic.Louis served in WW1 in the Army.Family was said to have owned a restaurant in the German section in Manhattan. Hopefully we will find some information and clear up our search.
