My greatgrandfather Carl Christian Kuebler was married in Whiteside County, Illinois in 1904 to Bertha Rohde. Since he came to the US alone as a young man, we know nothing of his relatives in Germany. He is believed to have come to the Sterling, Illinois area because he had a relative already living there. Carl Christian was born in 1874 according to his gravestone, most likely Wurttemburg. Known relatives (according to notes from my grandfather Carl Fred Kuebler)in Whiteside County, Illinois were an Uncle named Fred and Fred's son William. Also a Gottlieb Kuebler signed Carl Christian's marriage certificate. Anyone know this family line?
