Grupen Hagen Buhr is the settlement where these Kuckuck's were from. I have a "Kuckuck" Family Story written by Bertha, (Aunt "B") before she died, she was a Legal Stenographer in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Aunt B grew up in a very strict household. She had strict teachers. She was made to recite chapters out of school books or wrapped on her knuckles. They were a very religious family. The original old Family Homestead still stands in Germany.
