My wife's surname is Kicera. Her paternal grandparents originally came from Russia. They immigrated to the US (Scranton, PA)in the early 1900's, by way of Austria. Her father Michael, coincidentally, moved to the Passaic area.

I was familiar with the Kucera name. I used to live in Austin, TX, where Willie Kucera owned a store and was involved in local politics. When I met my wife, I assumed she was Czech, but quickly learned that she was of Russian decent. But I think there may have been some Czech connection through the time her family spent in Austria (?).
