PIERCE COUNTY CALL; Pierce, Nebraska; Thursday March 9, 1916
Mrs. Frank Kubista Passes Away.

Mrs. Frank Kubista passed away on Monday, the 6th inst, at her home west of town, at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 25 days.

Deceased was born in Bohemia on May 11, 1839. Her maiden name was Anna Harman. She was united in marriage to Frank Kubista in her native country on January 16th, 1866. After residing in Bohemia for 15 years they came to America in 1881, located first in Dodge county. Three years later they moved to Pierce county where deceased lived until the final summons came.

There were born to Mr. and Mrs. Kubista four boys and four girls, three boys passing away in their infancy. Besides the husband, five children survive their mother's death, viz: Mrs. Edward Synovec, Pierce, Mrs. O.I. Dutcher, Greeley, Nebr., Mrs. Frank Frank, of Verdigre, and John and Mary of this county.

Mrs. and Mrs. Kubista celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on January 16, 1916 with all the children present.

Funeral services were held at the Congregational church Wednesday afternoon, at 2 o'clock, the pastor, Rev. J. B. Burkhardt, conducting the same. Appropriate music was rendered by the church choir. The services were attended by a large gathering of relatives and old friends. Burial was made in Prospect View cemetery.

Note: In Anna's husband's obituary (Frank) it notes that Anna's maiden name as Herman
