From Cyclopedia of Kansas History, c 1912, vol 1, p. 495: Day, a little village of Washington county, is a station on the Greenleaf & Lenora division of the Missouri Pacific RR., 5 miles east of Clifton and about 17 miles SW of Washington, the county seat. It has a money order postoffice, some local trade, and does some shipping. The population in 1910 was 35.
On an 1880 map, Day was in Clifton twp (now Sheridan twp). It was in section 28, in the NE 1/4, actually east and a little north of Clifton town.
Day post office, 1883-1930, first postmaster was Elizur E. Larimore. Day was also called Day station.
