Tom Alderdice 1850/70 Ks.

In 1914 this man was living with his son east of Conway Springs, in Sumner County. He had been an Indian scout for the Army. I think I heard my father Ray Holloway say Tom's sons name was William "Bill" Alderdice.
Anyone know of this man and his family?
