Everett Cleon Carrothers and ATSF/Santa Fe Railroad
Posted by: Kyle Cloutier (ID *****5130) Date: February 25, 2010 at 14:00:04

I am hoping to find any information or to make a connection with anyone who might have known my grandfather, Everett Cleon Carrothers (b. 7-16-1898, d. 1-29-1964, m. to Lucille Vera Stolfus on 7-11-1918 and 11-2-1927 also). He was born in Mulvane, Ks and lived in both Sedgwick County and Lyon County, living in Lyon Co when he died in Topeka at the Santa Fe Hospital). He worked for the Santa Fe railroad from the early 1920s to the date of his death in 1964. He regularly was driving the train to Arkansas City, Winfield, and other depots in the area. He stayed in a rooming/boarding house in Arkansas City on his layovers there. I am searching for some family information and would really appreciate hearing from anyone who might have information about him or who might know of a Santa Fe retiree in the area who I might talk to. Thank you in advance for your help!
