In 1873 James Knox Polk Coffman born 1850 in Clinton Co, MO had two land patents in Sumner Co, KS. He was still living in Clinton Co, MO in 1880 with his new wife R. Susan Axie Montgomery Coffman. In 1884 his brother Samuel P Coffman died in Butler Co, KS. In 1885 James KP, wife RSA, two children GA female and CCC male, niece Maud M Coffman (dtr of Samuel) and E. Moore male age 21 are living in Green, Sumner Co, KS. Another brother George W Coffman is living in Butler Co, KS with a family that appears to be his father's former housekeeper. George is single but his brother's will mentions that George has kids. Can't find any kids or wife. George and james are not found in the 1900 census. George is later found living with his widowed sister Mary Catherine Kate Coffman Crouch in Chandler, Lincoln Co, OK in 1910. Does anyone know what happened to James, his wife, his two kids, his niece Maud (b1874 Clinton Co,MO)? I can't find anything. It's like a UFO took them off the planet/
