Was Stella W. Gilcrest a Local Artist in the 1900s?

We inherited a watercolor by the artist Stella W. Gilcrest which was painted in 1912. Our ancestor lived in Wellington, Sumner, Kansas for 25 years from 1895 until her death in 1920. Her name was Edith Glendora Pancake Watrous and she lived with her sister Camilla Pancake Elliott, wife of attorney Charles E. Elliot at 816 Washington Street. When Glendora died, she willed the painting to her son who is my husband's grandfather. We continue to hope that we can find out about the artist.

Thank you.

Sandy Watrous
