Mr. Holloway: The man you mention is ndoubtedly Tom Alderdice, whose wife Susanna and kids were killed by Indians in 1869. He had a son William Ira b. 5-21-1874. Jeff Broome's book on this killing is going to be published by the Lincoln Co. (KS) Historical Society later this year. The book will contain all the known details on Tom, and cite (among other items) an obituary.
