My gggrandmother was Lucretia Innocent Hammond and she was also married to Isaac Dedrick in Keokuk County, Iowa. I find she married in the year 1873. Hmmm I am having trouble looking up census records to show the whole family just the ones after the move to Smith County, Kansas. I have seen these sights before but have been reading through my grandmother's diaries and find a postcard from John Jones. It says " wheat is starting to head at this date and looks like a fair crop around Hennessey. We will be looking for you with those two new combines aobut harvest. When you come to Okla. look me up. John Jones.
My grandfather was a traveling harvestor and his gmother was a Hammond...Lucretia Innocent.. Sound like anything? Julie
