I have a James C Hammond b. 1820 that married Hester Ann Welch b- 1827 married-02 Mar 1843 in Jefferson Twp., Iowa. They are both buried in the Gaylord Cemetery near Smith center, Kansas. I am pretty confused with this line of my tree but am interested in where the Jones come in as I have a postcard from a John Jones to my grandfather Frank Beem a descendant of a Hammond. Let me know if any of this strikes a bell. Julie
