From the Topeka Daily Capital, Saturday July 23, 1960, page 19:

Long-Time City Worker Dies at 79

Gilbert W. Larimer, 79, of 1835 Lincoln, died Friday at his home after an extended illness.

Born Jan. 11, 1881 at Danville, Ky, Mr. Larimer had lived in Topeka more than 70 years. Before retirement in January 1959, Mr. Larimer was custodian in Municipal Auditorium.

He was a member of Topeka Lodge No. 51 AF&AM.

Survivors include his widow, Hattie M. Larimer of the home and a sister, Mrs. Delia Haswell, 135 Fillmore.

McMichael Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery.
