Simon Birmingham family of NY, Illinois, & children around Topeka

Researching family of Simon Birmingham and Ellen Loughlin, in 1860, Sardinia, Erie County, NY; in 1870, Rockford, Winnebago County, IL, 1870; missing from 1880 census.
They came from Wyoming County, NY, and in 1880 and thereafter some of their children were around Topeka, Shawnee County, KS. Simon and Ellenís children were: Mary, Ann, twins Thomas and Edward, Ellen, John, Michael, Catherine, Margaret and Theresa. The first seven were born in New York, the last three in Illinois, 1853 to 1869. Thomas married Ida; Edward married Mary McMahon and later Bessie; spouses of others unknown. Itís believed Simon was the son of Thomas and Ann Birmingham of Java, Wyoming County, NY, when the elder Thomas died in 1842. Can anyone confirm, or name parents of that Thomas? In addition to Simon, Thomas and Ann had a daughter Bridget. What happened
to her?
