Anna L. "Tince" Kugler, 88, Liberal, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 2000 at Southest Medical Center in Liberal.

She was born May 23, 1912, to William J. and Alice A. (Burton) Elledge in Haviland.

She married T. R. "Tate" Kugler June 30, 1936 in Liberal. He died Feb. 2, 1986.

She had been a resident of Liberal since 1919. She was a housewife and mother.

She and her husband were in the construction business until their retirement in 1986.

She had been a resident of Liberal Good Samaritan Center since 1994.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the IXL Sunday School class, both of Liberal. She was also a member of the Liberal Rebekah Lodge No. 522 and Ladies Encampment Auxiliary K and O No. 16 of Liberal, serving as Past Grand and treasurer.

She was a member of the Southwest Kansas Humane Society in Liberal, AARP in Liberal, Hospital Auxiliary in Liberal, Liberal Good Samaritan Center Auxiliary, and was treasurer for Liberal Concerned Citizens.

Survivors include one daughter, Leora Rowden, Liberal; one grandson, Michael Rowden and wife, Glinda, Ft. Scott, Ariz.; one great grandson, Scott Rowden; and two great-great grandchildren, Cole and Leilani Rowden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Pat Rowden; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Chapel in Liberal with the Rev. David Bagwell presiding. Burial will be at Liberal Cemetery in Liberal. Friends may call from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Miller Mortuary in Liberal.

The family suggests memorials to the Liberal Good Samaritan Center or the American Heart Association, in care of Miller Mortuary, 908 N. Lincoln, Liberal, KS 67905.
