I am researching my great grandmother, Frances Eva (Steele) DOWNS b.1852 MO., d.7 May 1940 Dalhart, Dallam Co., TX., bd. Liberal Memorial Cemetery, Liberal, Seward Co., KS., marr.12 Nov 1873 Cooper Co., MO. to William Henry DOWNS b.31 Jan 1847 IN., d.1 Dec 1893 New Lebanon, Cooper Co., MO., bd. New Lebanon Cemetery, New Lebanon, Cooper Co., MO.
At the time of her death, Frances was living in Dalhart, Dallum Co., TX. with her daughter, Retta D. YOUNG.
Listed as heirs in probate record #1005 of Seward Co., KS. were:
