I have a Phillip Weis born 1830 that married Franciska "Frances" Gutermann. They lived in Headville, Salina, Saline County, Kansas.

Obituary - Mrs. Franciska Weis A Resident Of Saline County For Almost 45 Years:

Mrs. Franciska Weis, residing four miles northwest of Hedville, died at 11:10 o'clock Friday night at the family residence, at the age of 91 years, 11 months and 14 days. Bronchitis was given as cause of death. Mrs. Weis was born February 21, 1835 in Germany and came here in 1882, settling in Pleasant Valley township. Her long residence in Saline county has won a wide circle of friends throughout the county. She is survived by nine children, Lizzie King, Blockhouse, Wash.; Fannie Mesler, Oswego; Phillip Weis, Brockville; Lewis Weis, Brookville; Mary Farrington, Phillipsberg; John Weis, Salina; Henry Weis, Salina; Leonard Weis, Weskan; and an adopted daughter, Nellie Weis; a sister Mrs. Barbara Wagner, Norborne, Mo.; 58 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Rush Smith Funeral Home with Rev. J. H. Kuhn in charge. There will be a short service in the home at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Interment will be held in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

Also, I have a Emma Weis that married Johann "John" Wagner on November 27, 1890 in St. Clair County, Illinois.
