Searching for my mothers family. E. Mcbride residing in Russell county, Ks abt 1910 to abt. 1918. there are three McBrides living in the area (Paradise and Waldo) around that time (1910 Census) but do not have a listing for a 1915 birth of a daughter Katie Ester McBride. Russell County Courthouse was reputed to have been burned at some point and all of the records destroyed. We do have a document that states that my mother was turned over to the Kansas Children's Home at the age of 15 months by her father E. McBride. She was taken in by a family named Funnell and raised by them but never adopted. Any information about this family, would be helpful.
