Abijah was m. to Margaret Branyan b. 1822 OH and d. 1877 Noble Co, IN. Two of Abijah and Margaret's children came to Rice Co, KS from Noble Co, IN ca 1878:
Allen Simmons b. 1841 OH and d. 1917 in Alden, KS. Allen m. Hannah Kutcher, dau of Jacob Kutcher and Catherine Favinger. Hannah was b. 1845 Noble Co, IN, m. Allen Simmons 1865 Noble Co, IN and d. 1932 in Finney Co, KS - she and Allen buried at Alden Cemetery, Alden, KS.
Samantha Simmons b. 1848 OH d. 1918 Center Twp, Rice Co, KS - m. Francis "Frank" Marion Hoover 1879 Rice Co, KS. Samantha and Frank are buried at Alden Cemetery, Alden, KS
