From the Republic City (Kansas) News, March 1, 1895, page 3, column 2:
DIED. - At her home near Republic, Kansas, Feb. 27, 1895, Mrs. Jeremiah Hall, aged 78 years, 6
months and 26 days. Her maiden name was Mary J. Montgomery. She was married to Jeremiah
Hall April 1st, 1834. She was born in Virginia, Aug. 1st, 1816. For 61 years she was a faithful
member of the M. E. Church. An aged husband and six children are left to mourn her loss.
Grandma Hall has lived a long eventful life, and was beloved by all who knew her. Our people
sympathize with the faithful husband and other relatives who mourn her departure.
