William G.Cutler's History of the State of Kansas,Republic
County,Part 2 wrote about Indian Troubles. "In 1869,Capt.
Stanfield,A.Davis,W.P.Phillips and Clarke Tenike were
besieged in the block house by over one hundred Indians."
Does anybody know who Clarke Tenike was--when and where born, died? Was he in the military at that time? Surname
should have been Ten Eick or Ten Eyck.
