S. E. Swart

S. E. Swart, died at noon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Warren and Mr. Warren, 208 East Campbell st.

He was born at Freeport, Ill. And came to Kansas in 1877, settling in Edwards county. He moved to Oklahoma in 1909.

S. E. Swart

Funeral services for S. E. Swart, who died yesterday, will be held from the Johnson and Sons Funeral Parlors tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock. Interment will be in Fairlawn cemetery.

He is survived by four daughters; Mrs. Warren, Mrs. Grace Pontius, Mrs. Gladys Chappell and Mrs. Homer Woodward, all of Hutchinson; and six sons, Norman Swart and Henry Swart, of Hutchinson; Lester Swart, Enid, Okla., Chester Swart, Drummond, Okla., Millard Swart, Lubbock, Tex., and Glen Swart, Enid, Okla.; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Jones and Mrs. Ivy Jones of Arkansas City and Mrs. Jess Fields, Gunnison, Colo.; and a brother, Elmer Swart, Drummond, Okla.

Mrs. Juanita Swart

Mrs. Juanita Swart, 64, of 428 East Osborn st. died last night at 11:55 o’clock. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o’clock from the First Methodist church with the Rev. W. B. Stevens in charge.

Mrs. Swart was born Aug. 3 1874, in Cass county, Ind. With her parents she came to Kansas in 1883, settling in Neosho county. She was married in 1888 to S. E. Swart at Partridge and they moved to a farm south of Partridge where the family lived for 21 years. For a number of years the family lived in Garfield county, Okla., but have been residents of Hutchinson of recent years.

She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Mrs. F. C. Poutius, Mrs. Gladys Chappell, Mrs. C. W. Warren and Miss Pauline Swart, all of this city; and six sons, Chester Swart of Drummond, Okla.; Lester Swart of Perkins, Okla.; Glen Swart of Ames, Okla.; Henry Swart of Fostoria, Dr. M. F. Swart of Lubbock, Tex.; Norman Swart of Hutchinson; by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. McGriff; two sisters and a brother Mrs. H. A. Lewis and W. T. McGriff, all of Hutchinson and Mrs. Edward Worthington of Omaha, Neb.; 30 grand children and one great-grandchild.

Charles William Warren

Charles William Warren, 87, of 221 West Fifth Street, died Friday at the Reno County Adult Care Facility after a long illness. Born Aug. 5, 1890, at Burham, he was married to Lillie E. Swart in 1918 in Hutchinson. She died Aug. 11. A longtime resident of the area, he retired in 1955 from the Pure Ice Company after working for 30 years there. He was a member of the Peniel Nazarene Church, a veteran of World War I, and a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include two grandchildren.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Johnson and Sons, Rev. frank Miller. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Mrs. Charles W. Warren

Mrs. Lillie E. Warren, 77, 221 West 5th, died Thursday morning at Hutchinson Hospital. Born Lillie E. Swart Nov. 28, 1899 at Arlington, she was married to Charles W. Warren in 1918 in Hutchinson. She was a life-long resident of the Hutchinson area.

She was a member of Penial Nazarene Church.

Survivors are the widower and tow grandchildren.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday, Johnson and Sons Chapel, Re. Frank Miller. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
