I found a copy of Rebecca's will in the Probate office of the Harvey County courthouse which led me to the Historical Society. I spent half a day there with the ladies of the society who were the ones to help me find her obit. They checked their records there, and there is not a Harvey Cemetery in Harvey County.
She had several children living in/around Hutch and her property was on the Harvey/Reno county line. Plus, I found on findagrave.com a listing for the Harvey Cemetery in Reno county. I just haven't found her there yet, since I can't find its exact location. I have the GPS coordinates but that really doesn't help me since I have no GPS. Every time I go up there driving around looking for it, I always end up at the Little River Cemetery. I have walked it but do not find her. I'm told there is a man named "Doug" something that has a complete listing of every grave in Little River, but when I went to his house last week, he wasn't home.
I was hoping that if I found her grave, that I might find a few more family members buried near her, as I can't find them either.
Sanford H. Collins b 4-1845 (also went by Samuel), William I. Collins b 1847, Charlotte T. (Davis)Collins b 1848 d. 1889, Bessie M. Collins b 12-1881, Penelope Collins, b 2-6-1878 d 8-27-1891, Austa Collins b 4-1-1889 d 4-25-1891, and Forrest Collins b 11-15-1895 d 5-30-1897
I know that Charlotte, Penelope and Austa all died in/around Burrton (Alta Township), and Forrest died in Hutch from pneumonia.
I guess this will remain a mystery for awhile longer. Thanks for your help.
