Ed - Franklin Snider was born on 2 May 1864 in Phillips Co., KS and died 26 Jun. 1947 in Logan, Phillips Co., KS. He married Lillie Belle Newkirk (Lindsey) on 18 Jul. 1915 Logan, Phillips Co., KS. Lillie had one child, Alta Mae Lindsey with her first husband, George W. Lindsey. (What happened to George, I do not know, but I think that he died while they were living in Missouri.) Lillie and Franklin had one son, Frances E. Snider, born 19 Mar. 1919 in Logan, Phillips Co., KS. He died 2 Dec. 1968 in Logan Co. Frances did not marry. The whole family is buried Section B, Lot 10, Range 19 in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Logan, Kansas. This cemetery is located 1 mile east of Logan, Kansas. Lillie Belle is a great aunt to my wife, Marian Annabelle Poole. Lillie Belle is the daughter of Temperance Elizabeth Marr, 1847-1877 and was born in Warren Co., IL. and John Elliott Newkirk, born 1839 in Warren Co., IL and died 12 Oct. 1899 in Talmage, Union Co., IA. Lillie Belle had one brother, Stonewall Jackson Newkirk who was born 7 Sep. 1871 in Warren Co., IL and died on night of 6 or morning of 7 Sep. 1922 in Lenora, Norton, KS. He was murdered. His body was not found until 5 May 1923 16 miles north of Norton, KS in Nebraska. That is my total knowledge of this family. If you hear of anything else, please let me know. John,
