I am looking for ancestral information on John G. Norton.

I have him married to Margaret Frances Best m. 01/01/1885
in Phillips County, Kansas.

According to the 1900 U.S. Census for Freedom Township,
Phillips County, Kansas, that was taken 06/28/1900, John
Norton was b. 10/1843, age=57 and was married for 15 years.
His occupation is listed as Farmer.

John lists his father was born in Maine and his mother
was born in New York.

His wife is listed as Margareth b. 03/1868 age=32 w/
8 children. She lists her father and mother as both
being born in Pennsylvania.

The census then lists their 8 children:
Frank W. (son) b. 01/1885 Kansas
Sobilla M. (dau.) b. 06/1886 Kansas
Cornelius (son) b. 02/1890 Kansas
Ernest B. (son) b. 10/1891 Kansas
(1930 census of Arcade Township has
Ernest "V." and Frank W. Norton)
Sarah (dau.) b. 12/1893 Kansas
John A. (son) b. 08/1895 Kansas
Spencer S. (son) b. 02/1897 Kansas
George W. (son) b. 05/1899 Kansas

The census also lists in their household:
David Campbell (boarder) b. 07/1873 Iowa
David lists his father and mother as both
being born in Iowa.

Any information regarding John Norton's line would
be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
