Cyrus William (C.W.)Connelly is my gg grandfather. He was born in Iowa being the son of Austin Connelly and Mary B McCampbell and they were both born in Ohio (per census data)C.W. and his wife Marianne Ida Bell Thomas had five children: Gertrude Mae 1887 married a Herman Jack, then a John Leonheart died in 1963. Elsie Pearl 1890 who married George Huston Towne and lived in Missouri (my great grandparents) died in 1940. Edna Olena 1893 who married a Charles B Porter and moved to Colorado died in 1980. Linnie Leah 1901 who married a Chrales Robert Workman and moved to California. Austin Wiley 1908 married a woman my granmother thought her name was Grace, she believed they had four children with one of them being named Robert. Grandmother told the story that Austin and Grace got into it and Grace had him put in jail. He got out because the jailer was a friend of the family. He then took off she knew for a while he was in Colorado at his sisters, then on to California. She never knew what happened to him or his kids. She is 92 and I would really like to find some information for her on Austin Wiley. Does any of these names ring a bell to anyone? All of the Connelly children were born in Osborne, Kansas.
