Knowles is listed in the 1860 and 1865 census in Ridgeway Twp. Osage Co. KS. Elizabeth Knowles is listed in the 1860, 1865, 1870, and 1875 census in Ridgeway Twp. Osage Co. KS. They had two childern, Johh William Knowles b: 1852 in IN and Juliet A. Knowles b: Abt. 1861 in Ks. John William Knowles married Martha E. Banks Abt 1879 in Ridgeway Twp. Osage Co. KS. She was b: 16 April 1861 in Clinton, KS. They had one son William I. Knowles b: May 1880 in Ridgeway Twp. Osage Co. KS. Any information would be appreciated, Thank You.
