I can't tell you how much I appreciate this information as I had hired a genealogist in Topeka to look for Mary Young, whom she could not find, of course. But apparently she failed to look for William H Patterson and Fannie. It helps me so much knowing they were there, because it explains the mystery why Mary Young was in Scranton, Ks in 1884 when she signed a receipt regarding an estate. There could be many explanations as to why she was not there in 1885.
