Posted by: Kenneth Maxwell (ID *****3195) Date: February 25, 2005 at 12:12:45

Surnames within this posting: WASHBURN, FRY, MILLER, JENNIE, LEE

Carbon County Pennsylvania to Osage County Kansas between 1870-1880

Finally tracked down this WASHBURN line starting after Joseph's Death in the Civil War and I offer the following:

Descendants of Joseph Washburn, Beaver Meadow(s), Northampton Co., now Carbon Co., PA
Joseph Washburn of Beaver Meadow Pennsylvania is one of 4 brothers to fight for the North in the Civil War.

Joseph is a son of Enoch Washburn & Elizabeth Miller.
Enoch Washburn is a son of Caleb, and Caleb is a brother of Daniel Washburn whom was a survivor of the Wyoming Massacre, Revolutionary War.
Caleb Washburn is a son of Jesse Washburn & Silence Washburn (Same Surnames)
Silence Washburn's Ancestry is well known and published back to Francis Cooke of the Mayflower.
Caleb's father, Jesse Washburn, is a son of Elisha however I cannot in good conscience site evidence to further Jesse's ancestry.
