Yes, N. Salrin served durint the war, 3 years in the Fifteenth Indiana Volunteer Infantry, 2 years in the United Stades Navy, in the Mississippi and Gulf Squadrons. Was sslightly wounded at Stone River and again at Missionary Ridge. (I don't know are these two places). In 1866 he returned home to his parents in Ohio.

As you see he had traveled a lot, if we consider he came from France!!!
