Walter E. Tanner mystery

Walter E. Tanner was born 1875 in MO. He grew up in Erie, KS. He died in 1935 and is buried in or near Erie. His father was Adolphus Tanner, who was a railroad or telegraph employee. Walter was a Baptist minister. He served all over the US. The information that I have about his marriage is confusing. He was married either once or twice. He was married to Helen Riley. In 1921 he may have been married to Helen Hill. I need to know if Walter was married once or twice. Was there a divorce? Please help me find out what happened. Is there any kind of biography on Walter? Walter was also a YMCA missionary to the troops in Europe during WW1. He recieved many medals for bravery while serving as a stretcher-bearer in WW1. Please help me find out about Walter's marriage(s). Thank you so much Brian
