Henry Flentie was born 13 Oct 1847 in the city of Kolenfeld,State of Hanover in Germany. It is a village
just SW of city of Hanover. His application for citizenship is dated 01 may 1875 at Seneca, KS.

He was Evangelical Lutheran. His father, Christofer
and step-mother Marie (Kuckuk) are buried at Friden's
State line Cemetery N.of Seneca near the State Line.
Along with his sister Doretta (Flentje) Katz and her husband William Christopher Katz.

Henry married 10 Dec 1847 Augusta Wilhelmina Weyer, daughter of Christian Weyer & Anna Gertrude (Vits) of
Baileyville. Mr. Weyer's mother Maria Weyer & Anna Vits's father William Henry Vits are both buried at Seneca, KS.

Henry & Augusta were parents of 11 children; 10 survived.
