My great great grandfather was Carl Petterson who homesteaded below Greenmound in Mitchell County. I remember a Mr. McKee who had a son named Neil who lived just east of Beloit. He was elderly when I knew him but I think he was a horseman. He had a stallion and some sheltland ponies. I was not a teenager yet but I spent a lot of time there riding and learning to braid bridles. He said somehow we were related. My father was Don Petterson, a contractor in Beloit. Answer?
