Dear Mary,

I'm french and I'm very keen on my ancestors. That's right that there is some BOURCY in France, exactly in 3 aeras:
1st aera in lothringe, beside the german border (My parents live in this aera)
2nde aera in the department named "creuse"
3rd aera in brittany (it's around the sea and I think they left France from "LA ROCHELLE". Two of my ancestors was black-smith in West Point, but I don't how they left their country.
I would like to add that my ancestor come from Belgium (I've found one from 1580) and a village in Belgium is named "BOURCY" it's just over BASTOGNE.
May be theses information could help you. Excuse me for my bad english
If you want more information I'll be back in France next month and I could check in my books.
Sincerely
Philippe BOURCY
