Beloit Call Gazette, Thursday, May 14, 1981
James G. Ward
James G. Ward was born Dec 22, 1905, at Decora, Iowa, to George and Nellie Leonhart Ward, and died at his home in Sunny Slope Manor, May 5, 1981, at the age of 75.
An aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brown, raised Jim. He attended the Beloit schools and worked at the Beloit Creamery as a cheese maker. He was a Sergeant in the 486th Army Air Force during World War II. He was inducted Oct 27, 1942 and discharged Sept. 15, 1945. Pastor Albert Rymph officiated at graveside services at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7, in Elmwood Cemetery. The American Legion Post No 57 and VFW Post No 6242 conducted military services.
Casket bearers were Wes Lummis, Phil Thull, Ralph Koeningsman, Ralph Guard, John Williams, Jr., and Paul Carrico.
The Harrison Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

I also found the death notice on Fred Brown, & the obituary on Agnes Brown. If you would like them e-mail me directly & I will scan & send them to you.

Good Luck with your research, Vickie
