Francis P. Snyder was the brother of George Washington Snider born in Stark County, OH 07 Feb 1836. Their father was Philip Snider. I have a letter written to George by his brother signed F.P. Snyder in which he mentions the names of his wife and children. I also have a letter to George from his father in which he mentions Francis and his wife Caroline. He signed the letter Philip Snider. I believe Frank's family is in the 1870 Adams County, IA census in Jasper Township. I also found where Frank served as a soldier in the Civil War. He enlisted in 1862 in Adams County, IA. There is also a pension record for him. Please contact me at jpbrown@uiuc.edu I would be interested in any information you have on the family.
